Sections: Developmental & Structural Ecological Systematics Economic Botany Teaching Paleobotanical Areas of Interest: 1. Describe yourself in 3 words. Enthusiastic, Focused, and Inquisitive 2. What are you doing professionally right now? I am currently in the first year of my Botany Masters program and am doing background research onĀ Iva annua within the Asteraceae family. I plan to start using morphology and phylogenetics in order to more clearly define the Iva annua species in the near future. 3. What do you value about BSA membership? What I value most about BSA is being part of a like-minded community of botanists that puts so much focus on students and the future of the botanical field. Getting to be a part of Botany 2011 in St. Louis and seeing the friendships and culture within our field is part of what inspired me to start a student chapter at my university. 4. What are you reading (or listening to) right now? I am currently reading articles focusing on the genus Iva and papers that use different molecular and morphological approaches that I might be able to use in my future |
